It is rare that the community organize a monthly theme it has been quite a while that there’s one that everyone would actually participate. For this One-Day theme challenge is inspired from the Toy Photographer’s community very own challenge for the month of February taking a leap with the theme and jumping into it.
The theme is also a good timing to take the idea as February 2020 has an extra day which is the 29th day or considered leap day or leap year that depends on how you see it and defines the word as this day only happens every four years.
It is an opportunity to take the challenge was something new for some and those already familiar with the concepts that has been incorporated into some of the images by most toy photographer in the community.
Though the “Leap Day” challenge for this community was not known those who took up the challenge already by posting their composition with the hash tag #LeapEntry is already considered part of this month’s theme including Paul Massey’s toasty image (more of this below) as he initiated his without knowing there was a theme challenge for February 2020 and it was good timing that he got it first.
There were only a handful of people who participated and congrats to those who defined them and being included for the Leap challenge that won’t happen again until the next one hopefully by 2024.
Paul Massey goes straight through the crumbs with his entry for this challenge and certainly a smashing hit among the community members having done the impressive, which also includes behind the scenes on how this One Shot Narrative happened.
While Danny Richardson has been an advocate of praising his fellow contemporaries of Toy Photography in this group he also gets an immediate praise for participating in this challenge and boldly go where Spidey goes from here direct into action!
For Eric Rio it is a Hulk Smashing affair with this image of the jade giant going forth like jumping from the pages of Al Ewing’s stories of the Immortal Hulk in getting the thick of whatever the gamma powered monster is set to do while he leaps forward to your view quite literally.
Luis E. Castillo is not new to this community as he has been actively submitting his works posted in this group though his perspective what the term “leap” means but he does make the concept give you a story that one doesn’t leap to enjoy an adventure in literal sense but he does give you an idea that leaping to see that carnival ride seems interestingly inviting as he drives to it.
So there you have it, a short selection of participating entries for the Leap One-Day Challenge theme that inspired from the February “Leap” challenge by Toy Photographers on the Mewe social media.
This was smashing fun beside the daily posts on the Facebook Group. If you have suggestions for the next challenge don’t hesitate to message the group or open a discussion. It also helps improve, expand, and suggest ideas for the others incorporate perspectives on putting together their own compositions until the next one, of course!
