Best TEN Picks | October 2017

For the month October it was about telling a good story in one image, which what Toy Photography is all about. There are good ones that was eye catching and quite the impressive composition that define the #1ShotStory concept.

The selection process is pretty much not as challenging as some of the individuals who submitted their works was consistent. These ten did their best in Bringing Toys to Life™ and here is The Best TEN Photography for October 2017.

The ten selected compositions not in any order and there are no ranks as the best featured are from Alvin Innocencio, Mark Gatus, Carlo Jonathan Linao, Barbara Denham, Bagus Muthi, Eddy Helmi, Paul Carter, Matthew Cohen, Roihaidi LoCase, Ashlee Bear, and Banton Suryanto. These chosen ten individuals posted their work in the monthly album and from the group’s timeline following the posting guidelines.

The images featured are randomly chosen not based on LIKEs, but how they have been consistent in telling a story through the use of their chosen toy, background theme and most of all how you don’t need captions to tell their narrative.

Alvin Innocencio, may not have an outdoor background, but what makes this work is the subject featuring Mario, where he captures this image in action trying to catch the mushroom to power up like in the game.

Mark Gatus, has varying subjects that uses and mainly some of his best images are taken outdoors or in diorama. For this one is simple without explanation.

Bagus Muthi, takes his Karmen Rider and brought it to life with an impressive bokeh background ready to the jump out of the image he posted.

Barbara Denham, a new entry from her certainly stood out through the expression of her Bug’s Life subject without the need to show the entire face of the character is simply impressive.

Eddy Helmi knows how to manipulate photo editing and practical effects in keeping everything balanced that makes this Power Ranger with this action shot.

Paul Carter expands his subjects with figurines that look real in the outdoor scene. His signature style combined with his animals makes this appear natural in this type of environment.

Rohaidi LoCase has more Stormtrooper adventures with minimal photo editing and that “Star Wars” feels simply consistent with his style of Toy Photography.

Ashlee Bear takes his Minecraft Minifigure on an adventure with this cool shot where the character is being chased with balance of practical shot with minimal ditigal manupulation.

Matthew Cohen another Star Wars fan takes his troopers in action with tragedy and casualty of war that the empire is trying to win with fireworks effects.

Anton Suryanto what makes it a simple shot can be anything. No caption or defining the subect itself, but a simple portrait can give you the curiosity and imaganination what his character will do next in this composition.

Congratulations to this month’s ten best Toy Photographers and keep on posting your works. It took a while for us to choose the best in Bringing Toys to Life™ and sharing their #1ShotStory perspective in capturing their toys until next month!
