"Toy Photography" on Umagang Kay Ganda.

07.21.2011 – Umagang Kay Ganda the morning show of ABS CBN in the Philippines featured “Toy Photography” as one of their segment. The show talks about general photography and of course the current interest that caught toy collector’s attention.

Officially toy photography has been around and the interest caught the Philippine toy community for the past couple of years. The concept has been around and there are different types of “Toy Photography” and expression for the interest is either based indoors to the most challenging outdoors.

It can be done by setting up your own studio or diorama if you’re the indoor type of person, but the most interesting part of Toy Photography can be done outdoors. Bringing your toys outdoors and taking their photos just like a real person or model depicted in this particular concept.

Generally you can’t define “Toy Photography” as one concept and it’s done in different aspect of medium the way you express yourself through your own concept.

But most imaginative “Toy Shooters” are the rare ones who take the interest to a different level. They are mostly doing it in the great outdoors and the challenge of imagination can be done with minimal photo editing software. Though most conventions who held a Toy Photography Contest is being judged for the entries in one medium when it can be done divided into different kinds of concept and categories.

The segment featured in Umagang Kay Ganda talks about the idea and interest based on personal experience. There are several kinds of medium and concept that covers Toy Photography which varies from indoor studio, diorama, or outdoor the most challenging part of the concept.

There are several shots taken in-between the live studio interview that was used for the show, and interesting enough for you to see…
