Best TEN Picks | December 2018

Sometimes the best year to start fresh is to have a good Toy Photography. Defining a story concocted from your imagination is something only you can build into inspiring visual divine. It can be based from Comicbooks, Movies, or videogame sprinkled in your vision that is quite fascinates others to try their hand in their version too and that is how you bring people together.

There have been countless new compositions each month in the community that it’s a challenge to track each one of them for the reason why we encourage to keep things simple with our #ONESHOTSTORY concept because that defines one image to give countless reactions on how they view it.

It has been quite a year for 2018 where there have been so many Toy Photographers sharing their compositions, but we can only pick the BEST 10 Photos for this month and it is quite inspiring to know there have been those consistent in their craft and there are also new faces who keep the interest fresh so here are those who made it for December 2018.

Hilmy Taufik has that whimsical idea that plays out in this image of a happy go lucky creature with a simple background with minimal manipulation of the image. Clearly the lighting is on point and it says it all that the character he uses is all about fun.

Jerry Rodriguez has so many submissions for this month it’s hard to ignore his passion for superheroes as his main subject for his compositions. It is simple with the right set up and lighting even with minimal manipulation of the image seems right to tell Wolverine is a nomad in this story.

Carlo Jonathan Linao has been a frequent contributor each month that his work gets notice because he has quite masterfully produced both indoor and outdoor composition that is quite encouraging. He really puts the effort on his photos that are second to none. This one was just a drive in the sunset with Bumblebee simple enough to tell a story.

Michael David is another frequent Toy Photographer submitting his images. There’s so much good stuff there you can’t miss his style and how the lighting is done. This one quite captures his imagination of Megaman facing off just like in the videogame, nicely done.

Marc Lapus is a veteran and he’s been around this community since he stumbled on it almost a decade ago. But his earlier works can reflect how he has greatly improved his craft when it comes to reimagining some of the Marvel Legends characters into his narrative that shows you he’s done it right.

Paul Carter adores his dinosaurs that it is his trademark subject if you want to look for dinosaur-related images. This guy deserves appreciation for inspiring others to put out their own compositions featuring their prehistoric compositions. Paul certainly makes the list with this silhouette filter and it invokes a good look at one of his subjects in this image.

Matthew Cohen has been a regular in these monthly picks and he really stands out with his style and choice of backgrounds. Gundam as a subject is often used in most Toy Photography, but most of them have something to do with being in space or fighting another mobile suit. This image alone shows the aesthetics of how impressive this mobile suite has evolved and do remember 2019 is the anniversary year so be sure to celebrate like Matthew with your own Gundam composition.

Chris Navarro mostly uses Spider-Man has his subject, but since the animated feature film “Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse” has been showing already in the US and in some regions he’s inspired to put up Spider-Gwen in this indoor diorama composition. The lighting and background brings this action figure to life in its environment that simply captures the movie’s impressive narrative on this one.

Note Tanapat one of the new faces in the community that uses LEGO minifigures as the subject in this composition. It is certainly great seeing LEGO minifigures in this image with a simple “Hello” to those who are also into the toys and Note deserves a reply back with this featured photo.

Genaskey Gerom de Roma is another active Toy Photographer who has been consistent with his work. Hulk in action smashing his way through enemy lines you get the vibe the big brute is crashing the party. Looks like Hydra is in trouble now with this Gamma Powered Hero ready to jump into this image.

Great photos from these talented artists who inspired everyone to end the year right. There will be more featured photos for the coming year and enjoy the start of 2019.
