| The Holiday Season brings a theme for Christmas for every photographer who uses toys as its main subject. It has become sort of a tradition here at Toy Photography to set a separate theme just like Halloween from last month. Though have few noticed here’s a handful of Christmas theme from our regular toy shooters.
Though the Christmas theme wasn’t as important as the last few years some still continue to make the effort to contribute their compositions this month. Let’s hope that we slowly bring back this theme on an annual basis and here are some of them. |
Forgive us on our inappropriate outdated cover for this special article it features Fuzzbert from the Trolls Movie that was only available in Australia as part of the Happy Meal toys released in that country. The story is that it was taken at Rundle Mall near the Christmas trees as its façade.
But enough the background story for the cover photos here are some handful photos from the more talented toy shooters of small community.
Michael David has some of his photos featured in our monthly best picks. His adoration for Sentai certainly never wavers as he uses some of them for some Christmas carol in this theme as one of the few to be featured.
Max Lye has been consistent for one thing churning up photos even though they don’t fall in the category for our #1ShotStory or how to #BringingToystoLife that mostly considered “Toy Gallery” or studio photography not telling a story but more about aesthetics with no emphasis in narrative. Though for his photos some works and some not entirely. But since it’s a Christmas theme there are no rules for this category. Its just simply Christmas.
Rounding up the handful of Christmas theme for 2017 is a new member to the group that was recently added and that’s Palm Nuamnual.
Palm Nuamnual must be one of the toy shooters who primarily use Nendroids as subjects for composition. For this Christmas theme this was one of the best following Michael David’s Sentai carollers and this completes the #1ShotChristmas theme for this 2017 and let’s see more for 201!
