| Brickstameet is a quarterly gathering and photowalk event for the members of the Southern LEGO Users Group or known as SBLUG based in Adelaide, South Australia. Every start of the year is the inaugural gathering including the regular attendees of the group at the beach.
For this year the event gathering will be in Semaphore beach as last year was held just a bike or bus ride to Brighton as the photos here. It’s going to be another huge gathering for toy photographers who use LEGO as their subject this month. |
The event has attracted LEGO builders and collectors to this annual gathering who got inspired into photography. The “Twilight Brickstameet” is the start of the year gathering and photowalk where LEGO hobbyist brings their camera at the beach for some cool Toy photography sessions with fellow members.
Just like last year the event will have the members of SBLUG gather up at Semaphore, which is located near Port Adelaide. The afternoon activity is not only about photowalk with the usual Toy Photography, but also some special activities to be announced when January 27th draws closer as this is one special meet up to start the new year with the SBLUG community.
It’s rare that there’s a photo meet up unlike the one organized by SBLUG members for those who use LEGO as their subject for Toy Photography. We used to have it back in the day, but due to schedules and personal commitments by the members it’s a challenge to organize a photo walk as most of the members here at Toy Photography are not based in one country, but all over the world.
The team at Brickstameet in Adelaide certainly are an inspiration in consistency organizing the photowalk meets up on a quarterly basis. If you happen to be in South Australia and looking forward to a Toy Photography meet catch SBLUG on January 27, 2018, 6 PM at the Semaphore Beach.
